The New Take on Bangle Bracelets
We’ve been noticing the ever-growing trend of bangle bracelets popping up everywhere from the runway to the red carpet to the street scene to the office. And with so much buzz about these bracelets, designers are coming out with pieces that are fashion forward and different than your typical bangle.
Within the bangle bracelet category, trends run the gamut, encompassing everything from thick to thin and every size in between. However, it’s not just about the size of the bracelet. It’s also about the color, the texture and the design. If you love skinny bangle bracelets, then try a new take on this classic by incorporating interlocking bracelets in different hued metals. For example, try rose gold, silver and yellow gold intertwined bracelets for a beautiful everyday look. Or, look for bracelet sets that use thick and thin complimentary designs. Choose a set that has an interesting main design paired with smaller daintier wire thin bracelets. This will create a great sense of balance.
If you love the boho chic look, then add bangle bracelets that have earthly homemade textures. Try thick carved wooden, cork or even plastic bangles with interesting designs. Or, pile on an armful of thread wrapped thin bangle bracelets in candy colors to liven up any summer sundress. Anything that uses fabrics or beads is great for creating a unique bracelet look that is effortless chic when paired with a casual tee and cut off jean shorts. Don’t be afraid to mix and match bracelets too. Grab an asymmetrical bracelet or one that is tapered and uses varying widths. For example, a bracelet might be very skinny on one side, while the other side is thicker. This will only add interest to your outfit and your look. Play around and purchase a few bangle bracelets that you absolutely love and mix with ones you already own. You’ll get many different looks and the most bang for your buck this way.
