Watch Iron Man 2: Full Movie!
With the world now aware of his dual life as the armored superhero Iron Man, billionaire inventor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) faces pressure from the government, the press, and the public to share his technology with the military. Unwilling to let go of his invention, Stark, along with Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and James “Rhodey” Rhodes (Don Cheadle) at his side, must forge new alliances — and confront powerful enemies.
Iron Man 2 Reviews:
1.) “The original film had a novelty to it that simply can’t be replicated, but as far as comic book movie sequels go Iron Man 2 is a cut above most.”
2.) “Iron Man 2 might not have the power or tone of the recent Batman film, but that’s not what the filmmakers are after, and crafting thrill ride that’s so easy and accessible to take in, it’ll be tough to find a more fun way to spend a couple of hours.”
3.) “Iron Man 2 is a polished, high-ozone sequel, not as good as the original but building once again on a quirky performance by Robert Downey Jr.”
4.) “You’re not getting the Marvel equivalent of Dark Knight. You’re getting Robert Downey Jr. having a blast and wanting you to have a blast too.”
5.) “It’s rare to say that a sequel is better than the original, but Iron Man 2 improves on the original in just about every way.
The plot is superb. We know who Tony Stark is and here we get to see a more vulnerable side to him, as we learn early on that something is wrong with him. The main villain in this film is much more menacing and believable, and is played brilliantly by Mickey Rourke. Another villain is Sam Rockwell playing Justin Hammer, a twisted version of Tony Stark. There’s also Scarlett Johansson as the quirky yet likable Natalie Rushman (who has a secret of her own).
My only complaint is the film feels rushed at times, and that major problems were solved too easily. Also, the humor got a bit too silly sometimes.
If you’re avoiding this because they replaced Terrence Howard with Don Cheadle, don’t. Cheadle nearly steals the entire movie; he’s that good. And then of course there’s Gwyneth, who has a much more prominent role. Altogether, it’s a great film and a great cast. “
