Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Chrono In Platinum

I feel I have to take a big breath to type a long watch name like Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Chrono Platinum Watch. It has been very a long time that I meet a watch a long long name. While I like the watch itself, I dislike the name.

The new Vacheron Constantin watch, sized at 43mm and done is full platinum, is the big star of the brand’s 2010 watch offerings which faithfully inherits the brand’s DNA and tradition. I am not a huge fan of Vacheron Constantin watches. But this watch makes me one now. I particularly love the dial. The layout is impeccably straight and clear, and the color contrast is simply nice, which together contribute an attractive dial and a fashionable touch to the watch. The platinum is substantial and is given fine finishes. But you have to wear it with care as platinum get scratches easily.

Beating Inside the watch is the Vacheron Constantin in-house manufactured Calibre 1141QP movement.It is complete made by hand and is an hand-wound mechanical movement. Though the sapphire crystal window on the case back, you can have an impressive view of it. This movement is quite versatile with a number of useful functions, including the time with a small seconds, a 30-minute column wheel chronograph, moon phase indicator and a perpetual calendar that displays the day, date, month and leap year. The moon face is, if I am not wrong, a Bell Epoque style “emo” moon face. It has a frowning moon on one side, and a smiling moon on the other.

I have not any idea about the price. But it must be not less than  $100,000.You may decide if it is the right watch for you, but you cant not deny it is a gorgeous watch.
