What do i do to stop the blood after cutting my thumb with a big piece of glass?

I was washing a glass cup and it fell on my thumb. It cut me deeply but i thought the blood would stop after a while. Today is my second day with my cut and it is still bleeding badly een through the bandages i keep changing…Im not sure if i should be at the hospital right now or not…What do I do?

The only thing besides going to the doctor would be just to wrap like some gauze or a paper towel around your entire thumb and hold it tight with your other hand…like kinda cutting off the blood flow to give it time to clot.
If you are taking blood thinners you should definitely go to the doctor anytime you get a cut that bleeds for longer than 15 minutes.
