4 mean are trying to escape. They decided to cross a bridge at night. The Bridge only supports 2 at a time. They have 1 flashlight. some are injured and must move slower than the others. the pair must move at the speed of the slower man. The group has gap of 17 min while patrol is not watching the bridge and must get across in this timel The mens speeds are as follows: 1= 1min 2=2min 3=5min 4=10 min. Once across the men must return the flashlight to other side. if man 4 and man 1 cross together that takes 10 min. If man 4 returns the flashlight 20 min have passed.
Firtly 1 And 2 cross the bridge and 1 takes flashlight back.Time Spent=2+1=3 then 3 and 4 cross the bridge amd 2 takes flashlight back.Time Spent 10+2=12.And now 1 and 2 can cross the bridge.Time Spent=2.Total time spent=3+12+2=17.
