Best of These JRock Bands?
So I got tired of JPop and wanted alittle change in music taste so one of my friends was listening to Garnet by D`espairs Ray and I liked it. So she gave me a list of some other japanese hard rock/metal bands
to try out. What I`d like to know is:
1 – what are your favorites of the bands listed below?
2 – any other japanese bands that are hard rock/metal/minor scream (screaming chorus is ok but i`m not into bands that scream the whole song)

I’ve recently discovered “Exist Trace” and “Tsu Shi Ma Mi Re”. Exist Trace has screaming, while Tsu Shi Ma Mi Re is more of punk. Both bands have a bit dark essence in lyrics, though.
From your list, I have listened to X Japan, L`arc~en~ciel, An Cafe, Gazette and Janne de Arc.
I find X Japan’s music to be nice, but common themes of their music are sadness or sucky emotions or stuff like that. As for L`arc~en~ciel, their themes vary but you can feel that they have this progressive feel in their genre. An Cafe sounds a bit like anime songs. I can’t say much about Gazette and Janne de Arc because I’ve only listened to them once.
I’m currently trying out Alice Nine, and I think they produce songs with good beat.
So to answer question no. 1, my favorite band from the list is L`arc~en~ciel.
