Ball Watches With The Simplest Technology

The Ball watch company was founded by Webster Clay Ball. In 1891, he set up shop in Ohio in a place called Cleveland. During that time, the towns across the U.S. use to maintain local time. Thereafter, the standard time was established and the time zone became larger. Ball was responsible for creating time signals in Cleveland in an effort to bring accuracy of time into the city. The work he was doing was taken not of by the Superintendent of Lake Shore Lines who asked him to become the Chief Inspector of the lines. Thus Ball came to be placed in the heart of the archives of time.
The Superintendent asked Ball to study the issues of time and record the usage of watches on Lake Shore Lines and devise a system of inspection. The line had suffered a fatal accident just before which might have been avoided altogether if the appropriate timepieces were in position. Ball formed a complex network that covered Mexico and Canada. The watches that were worn by the rail workers were checked every couple of weeks and differences of more than thirty seconds were not permitted. Thus the Ball watch company came to have a great impact on the safety of the national railways making it the national treasure that it is said to be to this day. Ball’s work was recognized as it helped keep millions of riders safe from accidents. Ball watches are still having an influence on the railways of today.

Ball watches are basically very rugged and can endure the rigors of industrialized life. They even have a calendar model which can be read in the dark. Their dive watches are well known for their shock resistance and some of them even have a resistance of as much as 1,000 meters. The Ball watches can also endure extreme temperatures ranging from -40 to 60 degrees Celsius. Their slogan which says accuracy under adverse conditions says it all. Not even the North and South poles pose any threat to them.
